Product Detail1

Shanghai Metal Corporation is a leading Titanium-Nickel composite plate manufacturer and supplier.

Titanium-Nickel composite plates combine titanium'
s strength and corrosion resistance with nickels performance benefits. This laminated material offers excellent seawater corrosion resistance, thermal stability, and fatigue strength. It's ideal for demanding applications in chemical processing, aerospace, heat exchangers, and marine engineering, where durability and corrosion protection are critical.

Packaging of Ti-Ni clad plate:

Shanghai Metal Products are packed and labeled according to the regulations and customer's requests.
Great care is taken to avoid any damage which might be caused during storage or transportation.
In addition, clear labels are tagged on the outside of the packages for easy identification of the product I. D. and quality information.
 1) Shanghai Metal Standard

 2) Customization

Q1.What information do you need for a custom Titanium-Nickel Clad Plate quotation?

A: We require the specific material grades (e.g., Gr.2 Titanium and N6 Nickel), the exact thickness of both the cladding layer and the base material, overall dimensions (width and length), order quantity, and any specific testing requirements (such as 100% UT testing or 3rd-party inspection).

Q2.What is the MOQ and production lead time?

A: The Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) is typically 1 piece for standard sizes in stock. For custom explosive bonding production, the MOQ is generally 500 kg or 1 full plate. Production lead time ranges from 20 to 50 working days depending on raw material availability and plate dimensions.

Q3.What quality standards and certifications does the product meet?

A: Our clad plates are manufactured and rigorously tested according to NB/T 47002.3 (Pressure Vessel Clad Plates) and ASTM B898 standards. We provide EN 10204 3.1 Material Test Certificates (MTC) and UT (Ultrasonic Testing) reports with every shipment.

Q4.How do you test the bonding strength of the explosive clad plate?

A: We conduct 100% Ultrasonic Testing (UT) to detect any unbonded areas across the plate. Additionally, destructive mechanical tests—such as shear strength testing (minimum 140 MPa) and bending tests—are performed on sample coupons taken from each batch to ensure the integrity of the metallurgical bond.

Q5.Can this composite plate be directly welded to both titanium and nickel pipes?

A: Yes. When machined and used as a transition joint, you can weld the titanium face of the clad plate directly to your titanium piping using TIG welding, and the nickel face to your nickel piping. This fundamentally solves the issue of metallurgical incompatibility between titanium and nickel.
