Shanghai Metal Corporation is a leading Galvanized Steel Strip manufacturer and supplier.
Galvanized Steel Strip is a cold- or hot-rolled steel strip coated with a layer of zinc through hot-dip or electro-galvanizing processes, forming a dense zinc-iron alloy layer that bonds tightly to the steel substrate. It is primarily used in construction (light steel keels, roof panels, C/Z purlins, roller shutter doors), automotive manufacturing (body panels, fuel tanks, fenders), home appliances (refrigerator and washing machine housings), cable armoring, and industrial strapping/packaging. The product directly addresses the corrosion and rust problems of bare steel when exposed to moisture, rain, coastal salt air, or humid storage and transport environments. By providing a sacrificial zinc barrier, it extends the service life of steel components by 3–5 years or more, reduces maintenance and replacement costs, and retains the base steel's strength and formability for bending, stamping, and roll-forming without hydrogen embrittlement. Typical specifications range from 0.15 mm to 3.5 mm in thickness and 50 mm to 1350 mm in width, with zinc coating weights from 40 g/m² to 275 g/m² or higher depending on the required corrosion resistance.

1.Standard: JIS G3302, ASTM A653M/A924M, EN10327 etc.
2. Grade: SGCC, SGCD, SGHC, DX51D, DX54D, S550GD, SGH340 etc.
3. Steel Substrate: Provides mechanical strength, load-bearing capacity, and formability (bending, stamping, roll-forming).
4. Pure Zinc Coating: Acts as the primary sacrificial corrosion barrier; zinc corrodes preferentially to protect the steel.
5. Electro-Galvanized (EG): Indoor electrical enclosures, appliance interior parts, HVAC ducts, and electronic chassis where a smooth, paint-ready surface is needed.
1. Long-Term Corrosion Resistance
Zinc sacrificial barrier extends service life, reducing replacement and maintenance costs.
2. High Strength with Good Formability
Retains full tensile strength while supporting bending, stamping, roll-forming without cracking — no extra tooling needed.
3. Strong Coating Adhesion
Metallurgical zinc-iron bond prevents peeling during forming, minimizing line stoppages and material waste.
4. Cost-Effective Protection
Matches or exceeds stainless steel corrosion resistance at lower cost, keeping finished product pricing competitive.
1. Light Steel Keel
Interior partition walls & ceilings. Zinc coating prevents rust in humid rooms.
2.C/Z Purlin
Warehouse/ factory roofing support. Withstands long-term outdoor rain exposure.

Packaging of Galvanized Steel Strip
Standard Packaging
Each coil is wrapped in VCI anti-rust paper and waterproof PE film, with the inner diameter protected by steel or plastic core protectors. Coils are then secured with steel strapping bands and placed on fumigated wooden pallets or steel skids for export. For narrow-width strips (≤200 mm), multiple small coils can be bundled together on a single pallet to optimize container space.
Shipping
We support FCL and LCL sea freight, as well as air freight for urgent sample orders. Trade terms include EXW, FOB, and CIF — other terms (DDP, DAP) may be available upon request depending on destination country. Shipping costs are calculated based on cargo volume, gross weight, destination port, and selected transportation method.
Lead Time
Samples: 3–7 working days
Standard orders: 15–25 working days
Customized orders (special coating/thickness/width): 25–40 working days

Q: What information do you need for a quotation?
A: Provide thickness, width, coil ID, steel grade, zinc coating weight, surface treatment, spangle type, and quantity. Quote within 24 hours.
Q: What is the MOQ and lead time?
A: MOQ: 5 MT per size (smaller stock quantities available). Standard orders: 15–25 working days; customized: 25–40 working days.
Q: What quality standards and certifications do you provide?
