Aluminum capillary tube is a fine-walled tubing with a small outer diameter and a narrow inner diameter, typically ranging from 0.5 mm to 10 mm OD and inner diameters as small as 0.2 mm. It functions as a precision flow-control component in refrigeration systems, serving as an expansion device that precisely controls refrigerant flow and pressure drop in refrigerators, air conditioners, and heat pumps. Manufactured from high-purity aluminum alloys such as 1050, 1060, 1070, 3003, and 3103, aluminum capillary tubes offer a density only one-third that of copper, significantly reducing overall system weight while providing excellent thermal conductivity of up to 230 W/m·K. The tube’s seamless construction and precisely controlled inner diameter ensure stable flow rates and reliable pressure regulation in critical fluid and refrigerant applications. Available in both straight lengths and coiled forms, with mill finish, anodized, or sand-blasted surfaces.

Standard aluminum capillary tube range: OD 0.5–10 mm (custom up to 20 mm), ID 0.3–9.8 mm, wall thickness 0.06–2.5 mm. Common alloys include 1050, 1060, 1070, 3003, and 3103; tempers include O, H12–H18. Straight lengths range from 100 mm to 12,000 mm; coil weight ranges from 5 kg to 50 kg. OD tolerance is ±0.01 mm for precision grades or ±1% for general grades; wall thickness tolerance is ±0.005 mm; precision cut length tolerance is ±0.05 mm. Surface finishes include mill finish, anodized, polished, tinned, and sand-blasted. Custom bending, flaring, end capping, and cut-to-length services are available upon request.
Production Process Flow
Aluminum billet casting → Extrusion (tube blank) → Multi-pass cold drawing (with inner/outer lubrication) → Intermediate annealing → Final sizing / precision drawing → Internal cleaning & oxide film control → Precision cutting → Surface treatment (anodizing, tinning, polishing, etc.) → Quality inspection → Marking & packing.
Standard Packaging
Aluminum capillary tubes are packed in seaworthy wooden pallets or wooden cases to ensure protection during international transportation. Tube ends are fitted with protective plastic caps to prevent damage. Plastic sheets are wrapped around the tubes to shield them from moisture, and tube bundles are further wrapped with polythene and secured with strips. Each package is labeled according to customer requirements, with clear markings for easy identification of product ID and quality information. Packaging can be customized for automated production lines.

We support FCL and LCL sea freight, air freight, and express delivery depending on order quantity and destination. Available trade terms include EXW, FOB, and CIF. Loading port: Qingdao or Shanghai. Payment terms: T/T (30% deposit, 70% balance against B/L copy) or L/C.
