Packaging of Triple Insulated Wire:
Shanghai Metal Products are packed and labeled according to the regulations and customer's requests. Great care is taken to avoid any damage which might be caused during storage or transportation. In addition, clear labels are tagged on the outside of the packages for easy identification of the product I. D. and quality information.
1) Shanghai Metal Standard
2)Customization
Q1.What information do you need for a custom quotation?
A: We need the bare copper diameter, thermal class (Class B or Class F), required color, and order quantity.
Q2.What is the MOQ and production lead time?
A: The Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) is typically 100 kg per size. Standard lead time is 10-15 working days.
Q3.What is the difference between Triple Insulated Wire (TIW) and Double Insulated Wire (DIW)?
A: TIW has three layers and is classified as "Reinforced Insulation," meaning it can be used for direct isolation between high-voltage primary and low-voltage secondary circuits. DIW has two layers and is thinner, making it ideal for "Supplementary" or basic insulation in tight spaces where reinforced isolation is not strictly required.
Q4.Is DIW better than standard polyurethane enameled wire?
A: Yes. Enameled wire is coated with liquid varnish which can leave microscopic pinholes. DIW uses extruded solid polymers, offering zero pinholes, much higher dielectric strength, and better mechanical toughness against winding friction.
Q5.Do I need to strip the wire before soldering?
A: No, like TIW, DIW can be directly soldered in a solder bath at 420°C - 450°C, drastically improving your production efficiency.
